OAAA will welcome members on November 14-16 to the 2004 OAAA Operations, Safety & OSHA Seminar and Trade Show being held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.

Leading the planning committee for this important event are three people who have a wealth of operations experience and expertise.

Bill Murphy is the national operations director/executive vice president for Viacom Outdoor. He started his outdoor advertising career as a billposter with Donnelly Advertising in Boston and was a labor official in the sign industry prior to going into management 14 years ago. Murphy’s responsibilities include operations, safety, and labor relations for all Viacom facilities in North America.

Jim Poage is the corporate director of safety training for Clear Channel Outdoor. Poage is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Society for Quality, and the National Safety Council.

Irish-born Michael Vint is vice president and Mid-Atlantic Area field manager for Lamar Advertising Company. He came to America in 1984, and in his 18 years in the outdoor industry has been active in all aspects of the business: operations, leasing, sales, safety, and management. In 2004, Vint moved to a new position managing Lamar’s Area Field Manager program with Bobbie Switzer, vice president of operations.

The committee is preparing an outstanding program featuring the following subjects:
