Nancy Fletcher, President & CEO
Nancy Fletcher was elected CEO of OAAA in 1990 and is responsible for advancing the legislative, marketing, and product improvement goals for the outdoor advertising industry. The 120-year-old trade association consists of more than 800 member companies representing more than 90 percent of US outdoor advertising revenues.

Fletcher is an attorney and an authority on outdoor advertising, with more than 30 years in the industry. Before joining OAAA, Fletcher worked for Naegele Outdoor Advertising in various positions from general counsel of the parent company to president/general manager of the Minneapolis-St Paul market.

Fletcher currently serves on the Boards of Directors of OAAA, the Ad Council, the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB), The Foundation for Outdoor Advertising Research & Education (FOARE), the Fletcher Family Foundation, and the Washington National Cathedral.

She is a past board member of National Cathedral School, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, the American Advertising Federation, Northwestern National Life Insurance Company, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, William Mitchell College of Law, the United Way, the Guthrie Theater, the Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, and the Metropolitan Airport Foundation. She is also a former vestry member of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.
Ken Klein, Executive Vice President for Government Relations
Ken Klein leads OAAA’s legislative and regulatory efforts to advance industry goals at all levels of government. Ken joined OAAA in 2001 with more than 25 years of experience in politics, press, and government.

Before joining OAAA, Ken worked for US Senator Bob Graham (D-FL) in Washington, DC, from 1986-2001, including five years as his chief of staff. Previously, Ken worked at the Florida Department of Transportation, The Associated Press, and a Gannett-owned daily newspaper in Florida.

A registered federal lobbyist, Ken focuses on representing the outdoor industry in Congress and oversees the industry’s political action committee (PAC). Regularly published, Ken also advocates for the industry in the mass media and serves as an industry spokesman.


Stephen Freitas, Chief Marketing Officer
Since 1999, Stephen Freitas has led the overall promotion of and communications about the outdoor advertising industry to agencies and advertisers.

He joined OAAA after spending 10 years developing high-profile marketing programs as the senior vice president of marketing at Clear Channel Communications and Eller Media Company. In that position, he was responsible for global branding, advertising, research, public relations, and corporate communications, in addition to being heavily involved with business development initiatives.

In his work at OAAA, Stephen focuses on educating corporate America about the outdoor advertising industry and advocating on the industry’s behalf.


Myron Laible – Vice President of State, Local and Regulatory Affairs
Myron Laible is the vice president of state, local, and regulatory Affairs at OAAA and an officer in the Foundation for Outdoor Advertising Research and Education (FOARE). He has been with OAAA for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in advocacy, public affairs, and federal executive branch activities.

Myron was also elected to the OAAA Hall of Fame, an honor given every two years to members demonstrating meritorious service to the industry.

Before joining OAAA, Myron was employed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), where he ran the daily operations of the Highway Beautification program, including oversight of the outdoor advertising control program at the national and state levels.


Marci Werlinich, Vice President of Membership and Administration
Marci Werlinich has spent her entire professional career serving the OAAA and its members. In the last 26 years she has held various administrative and membership roles from administrative assistant to overseeing OAPAC.

Werlinich currently focuses on membership recruitment, event planning, human resources, information technology, and a variety of other areas and programs that keep OAAA running.

She said “growing up in the industry” has given her an advantage, especially in building relationships with members over the years, which she finds to be one of the most rewarding facets of her work.




Kerry Yoakum, Vice President of Government Affairs
Kerry Yoakum is a member of OAAA’s legislative team, focusing on state and local issues.

Prior to joining OAAA, Yoakum served as the administrator of the office of contracts at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). As an attorney, his responsibilities included the state’s outdoor advertising control program, management of contracts, and the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program. Yoakum has been active in the leadership of the NAHBA (National Alliance of Highway Beautification Agencies), TRB (Transportation Research Board), and AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials).
