Rob Richards
Rob Richards began his career following graduation from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1984.
Rob returned to his native Phoenix, Arizona to be the Creative Director for Gannett Outdoor, which was acquired by Eller Media Company in 1992. Promoted to Senior Vice President, Creative Director in Eller Media’s corporate office, Rob oversaw 26 Eller Markets and worked with both national and local accounts creating effective outdoor and general advertising for the client’s needs.
In 1998, Eller Media merged with Clear Channel Communications, and Rob was involved in the complete re-branding of Clear Channel including logos, graphics and overall corporate standards. Rob still worked with individual markets, which now under Clear Channel, was up to 44, and continued his national creative presence working with clients like Budweiser, Coca-Cola and Discount Tire.
In 2002, Rob joined The Eller Company as Sr. VP/Creative Director and is currently involved in outdoor creative solutions for local and national accounts, but Rob and his staff have also expanded into packaging, brochures, logos, and various graphic arts.
Rob’s work has been published in Communication Arts and Print magazines. His work has been honored at the Addy’s and American Institute of Graphic Art shows. Rob has judged various ad shows and has been a two-time judge for the Obie Awards.
