Jim Elliott joined Y&R, NY as Chief Creative Officer in June of 2011 after having served as Group Creative Director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners SF, where he spent five years working on key clients including Comcast, Denny’s, Häagen-Dazs, HP, Netflix, Sonic Drive-In, and Yahoo!. Along the way, he earned the distinction as one of the agency’s most awarded creatives. His work for Hyundai helped turn the struggling car manufacturer into one of the most successful car companies in America during one of the worst economic downturns on record.
Elliott’s work has been recognized by AICP, The Andys, The Art Directors Club, Cannes, CLIO, Communication Arts, D&AD, Effie Worldwide, The Kelly Awards, National ADDYs, The One Show, Radio-Mercury, The Web Marketing Association and the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair. His work for both Häagen-Dazs and Nike are on permanent display at the MoMA. His integrated “Help the Honey Bees” campaign for Häagen-Dazs helped earn the brand the first ever Green Pencil awarded by The One Club.
Elliott came to advertising by way of the Portfolio Center in Atlanta after earning a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He cut his writer’s teeth at Mullen Advertising in Wenham, Massachusetts, followed by a position at Cole & Weber United in Seattle that evolved into a creative director/partner position, before settling in at Goodby in 2006.
Elliott currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Sharlyn, their Labrador Retriever, Teej, and their two year old son, Kayden James.
Robert Lin came to GSD&M in 2005 as an associate creative director on the Chili’s Grill & Bar account. Since then, he has developed work for numerous brands across the agency, from Kohler and Southwest Airlines to multiple campaigns for BMW and most recently, the introduction of Jarritos Mexican Soda to the US market. Currently, he is Group Creative Director, overseeing creative on the agency's Jarritos, Marshalls, Pacifico, and Victoria accounts. Prior to GSD&M, Lin was a senior art director at The Richards Group where he created work for Corona Beer and The Home Depot, among others.
Jill Nickerson currently serves as VP, Director at Horizon Media, Inc. where she heads up the out of home (OOH) buying division. In this capacity, Nickerson oversees all aspects of OOH buying, including traditional, nontraditional, alternative and digital OOH across Horizon’s impressive client list.
Under her leadership, the team has launched several market firsts, including interior/exterior shuttle train wraps for History, 3D projection on three landmark buildings (Grand Central, Beverly Wilshire Hotel, DC’s Union Station), near field communication programs for retail and entertainment clients and in 2008, the first storefront gender recognition technology deployment in OOH on behalf of A&E.
Nickerson increased Horizon’s scope of services to include print production and created a dynamic immersion zone as a destination for clients, brand groups and team members to educate and explore the growing and converging digital OOH space.
Nickerson actively participates in industry organizations including the 4A’s OOH Committee, DPAA Advisory Board and the TAB Board of Directors. Her passion for technology, innovation and creativity has landed Cannes Lion, OBIE and OAAA Media Plan of the Year awards for Horizon’s clients.
Nickerson began her career in traditional media planning and buying, later specializing in out of home. Her previous experience includes working at MediaVest , MindShare, and OMD.
In 2008 Mediaweek honored Nickerson with the Media All Stars award for out of home.
Nancy Ryan leads all of the integrated media efforts for Allstate’s product lines: Auto, Home, Retirement, Life Insurance, Specialty Lines: Motorcycle, Boat, Renters, Condo, Commercial Lines, Snowmobile, Power Sports, all Multicultural and Sponsorship media, Agent Recruitment and Allstate’s Corporate Advocacy campaign supporting teen driving legislation and regulatory reform of the insurance industry.
Ryan has been part of the Chicago ad community for over 25 years. She began her career at what was then Leo Burnett’s media department and is now Starcom Worldwide. For the next 21 years, she rose through the ranks to SVP Media Director and managed numerous client media plans and execution including such companies as Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Keebler, McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble brands, Sealy, and United and Delta Airlines. In addition to client assignments, Ryan led the agency’s pro-bono media efforts for the Chicago Botanic Garden for years, and was a key contributor to the Starcom Media Training Program and the agency’s recruiting efforts. Ryan left Starcom in 2005 and spent a short time in the world of ad sales, at both Family Circle and Newsweek. In 2006, Ryan joined Allstate and has served in the role as Media Director for the past six years.
Ryan is a committee member on the Association of National Advertisers’ Alliance for Family Entertainment. She has volunteered as an Effie Judge. She has been a mentor to many in the industry over the years.
Ryan has a BS in Business from Miami of Ohio, with a degree in Marketing.
Jodi Senese was named Chief Marketing Officer of CBS Outdoor in 2013 after serving twelve years as Executive Vice President/Marketing for the company. She oversees all aspects of marketing, research and creative services and is integral in developing new business strategies for the company. Her previous tenures include Executive Vice President/Marketing at TDI and Vice President/Marketing at Gannett Outdoor. She began her out of home career at New York Subways in 1981. She is the outgoing Chairwoman of the OAAA Marketing Committee. Senese is a 1981 graduate of Rutgers University.
Sukle Advertising & Design
Mike Sukle is the founder and creative director of Sukle Advertising & Design based in Colorado. The agency prides itself on creating effective and award-winning work for all of their clients, whether the brand is a household name or a company you've never heard of. Sukle is honored to have worked with Carter’s, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Denver Water, Exede Internet, Goodwill, Noodles & Company, Scarpa North America, and the Wyoming Department of Health.
Sukle’s work has been recognized in ABC’s “The World’s Best TV Commercials You’ve Probably Never Seen,” Archive Magazine, the Communication Arts Advertising and Design Annuals, Creativity, the Graphis Advertising and Design Annuals, the OBIE Awards, The One Show and the Venice Festival of Media.
But any chance of Sukle getting a swelled head is dashed almost every week when he receives yet another letter addressed to Suckie Advertising.
Bob Wingo joined Sanders\Wingo in 1983. In the decades since, Wingo’s commitment to authenticity and excellence has fueled the Sanders\Wingo team to expand the agency’s presence from El Paso across Texas to Austin, and into regional offices in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
The years he spent devoted to client-side marketing have made him a trusted authority for many of Sanders\Wingo’s clients today. He intuitively understands how to match talent and capabilities to client needs. His leadership has been prized by clients like AT&T, Chevrolet, Shell Oil, State Farm Insurance, and the United States Postal Service.
Generosity with his knowledge and experience has led to a wealth of civic involvement and public service over the course of his career. In the 1990s, Texas Governor George W. Bush made Wingo a member of the Finance Commission of Texas. In January of 2004, Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed Wingo to the Texas Economic Development Corporation Board, where he served as president. Governor Perry also appointed Wingo to a position on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
On a national scale, Wingo sits on the board of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation. Other board service includes seats on the Boards of Cancer Prevention & Search Institute of Texas, Las Palmas Del Sol Medical Centers, UnitedHealthcare, and Wells Fargo Community Bank.
Many organizations have honored Wingo for his contributions to the community and to the fields of marketing and advertising. One of the most notable testaments to Wingo’s leadership has been the recent recognition of Sanders\Wingo as the Black Enterprise 2009 Advertising Agency of the Year.
